Job summary

On the Go, OTG Management's hospitality brand, is seeking a Bartender at EWR to deliver warm, guest-focused service in a fast-paced airport setting. You will follow OTG steps of service, craft cocktails, and manage orders with accuracy.

You’ll guide guests through the menu, assist with dietary needs, handle payments, keep the bar clean, and work with the team to ensure timely delivery of drinks. Compensation starts at 6.05 per hour plus tips; opportunities for growth exist within our travel

Qualifications

  • Genuine passion for hospitality and delivering great guest experiences.
  • 1-2 years of prior bartending experience and ability to prepare cocktails.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant and beverage service steps of operation.
  • Ability to stay organized and calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent/conversational English; TCP certification (TIPS) within 90 days and ServeSafe or equivalent within 30 days.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver warm, memorable hospitality following OTG steps of service and standard operating procedures.
  • Guide guests through the menu, highlight items, and accommodate dietary needs or allergies.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly in a high-volume setting.
  • Collaborate with the team to keep the dining floor running smoothly and communicate effectively.
  • Handle orders and payments accurately, adhering to OTG cash handling policies.
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere and strive for guests to return.
  • Stay calm during busy periods and maintain rhythm of service.
  • Prepare and deliver drinks promptly according to OTG recipes.
  • Assist with moving and installing kegs, CO2 tanks, and soda guns.
  • Coordinate with Chefs/Managers to ensure timely food delivery to guests.
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation regulations; keep bar areas clean.
  • Participate in trainings and team meetings; report inventory/equipment issues.
  • Notify leadership of guest feedback or intoxication; escalate as needed.
  • Complete any additional tasks assigned by OTG leadership.

In This Role, You Will:
  • Deliver warm, memorable hospitality with every interaction—because great service is our signature. Following OTG steps of service, standard operating procedures.
  • Guide guests through our menu with enthusiasm. Highlight items, make thoughtful suggestions, and support guests with dietary needs or allergies.
  • Anticipate guest needs before they have to ask (your Bartender superpowers will come in handy).
  • Work closely with your team to keep the dining floor running smoothly; communication is everything.
  • Handle orders, payments, special requests with accuracy and a positive attitude. Adhere to OTG cash handling and register policies.
  • Create an atmosphere where guests feel welcomed, cared for, and excited to come back.
  • Stay calm when things get busy— it is a high‑volume atmosphere, and you’ll learn to love the rhythm of it.
  • Prepare drinksfollowingOTGrecipesand ensure they are deliveredin a timely manner.
  • Supportwithmoving and installing kegs of beer, CO2 tanks, and sodaguns.
  • Communicate with Chefs and Managers to ensure food is delivered to guestsin a timely manner.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations. Ensure the bar areas are clean.
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings asrequired.
  • Inform leadership team of low inventory and equipment issues.
  • Notify the Manager on Duty (MOD) of guest feedback or concerns, report signs of intoxication to the MOD.
  • Completeadditionaltasks requested by the OTG leadership team.
Qualifications/Criteria:
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering great guest experiences.
  • 1-2 years of prior Bartending experience + ability to prepare cocktails and perform full bartending duties.
  • Great grasp of restaurant and beverage steps of service. Familiarity with basic beer, liquor, and wine, because helping guests discover their new favorite drink should be part of the fun.
  • Ability to stay organized and calm in a fast‑paced environment (bonus points if you find a little fun in the rush).
  • Fluent+ fully conversationalinEnglish. Must become TIPS certified within90 daysofemployment + obtainServeSafeCertification or equivalent within30 days of employment.
  • You’ll be lifting up to 35 lbs. and staying active throughout your shift. You’ll be on your feet, moving, bending, kneeling, and crouching to keep the operation running smoothly.
  • Open availability is a must. Schedules may vary; early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and even those wild‑weather days when our guests need us most.
  • Must meet local age requirements for serving alcohol where applicable.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
