We are hiring a Bartender to work at Schwan's Company-owned, Edwards Dessert Kitchen in Minneapolis! This positive, upscale work environment is the North Loop's premier dessert destination. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving the highest quality cocktails and specialty drinks while p rovid ing the highest level of service during customer interactions . This position will be responsible for interacting with other restaurant staff in a professional and positive way to insure the highest level of food quality and service.

General availability is needed Thursday - Sunday, 3:00 - 11:00pm. Approximately 25-30 hours/week.

Duties & Responsibilities:

+ Provide exceptional, friendly, and efficient customer service while creating a welcoming atmosphere.

+ Prepare and serve high-quality cocktails, specialty drinks, coffee, food, and desserts with accuracy and flair.

+ Follow standardized recipes while also having the opportunity to develop and create new drinks.

+ Accurately record and transmit orders, process payments, and follow proper cash handling procedures.

+ Assist with beverage inventory and support counter staff as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

+ Maintain strict sanitation standards, ensuring a clean, safe workspace by sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, washing dishes, and cleaning restrooms and tables.

+ Work quickly and effectively under pressure, including during busy rushes, and maintain availability for early, late, holiday, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications:

+ Education: High School or equivalent

+ Years of Related Experience: 2+ Years of experience with a certification from an accredited bartending or mixology program preferred

+ Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to operate POS equipment, knowledge of various types of wines and spirits, understanding of mixology, ability to stand for up to 12 hours, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, knowledge of beverage preparation, hygiene, and sanitation, knowledge of OSHA requirements within a kitchen, ability to add and subtract

Compensation and Benefits:

The base compensation for this position is $17.00 per hour plus tips. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to education, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
