Job summary

Pacific Catch, Inc. is seeking a bartender in Sunnyvale, CA for a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position. You will greet guests, prepare cocktails, beer, and wine, and help with food orders as needed.

The role requires knowledge of drinks, strong guest service, and weekend availability (Thu–Sun 4pm to close). Compensation is $19.50 per hour, and you will report to the General Manager.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine, including recipes and history.
• Ability to upsell and provide excellent guest service.
• Record orders accurately in POS and handle payments.
• Able to fill in as a server as needed.
• Maintain bar inventory and cleanliness.

BARTENDER

SCHEDULE

This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position. Hours may be different every week and schedules are not set or guaranteed. Weekend availability is a must. Ideal candidates will be available Thursday - Sunday 4pm to close availability

COMPENSATION

$19.50 Per Hour

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine, including recipes, history, base ingredients, and jiggers
• Ensure a good Guest experience--present drink menu, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages; take orders; promptly serve food and drink, and check in with Guests regarding their experience; up-sell whenever possible
• Record drink or food orders accurately and immediately after receipt into POS; Accept and process Guest payment and make the correct change as applicable.
• Fill in as a server as directed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Restaurant
• Maintain inventory and bar supplies; assist in restocking and replenishing
• Ensure the cleanliness of the bar area (counters, tables, equipment, floors, etc.) always
• Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages. Wash and sterilize glassware as needed

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• High school education is required; Hospitality or other degrees are a plus
• Minimum 1-year experience in the restaurant/customer service industry preferred

PHYSICAL

• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 5 hours in length
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds
