Job summary

Montage International is seeking a bartender to interact with guests, craft cocktails, upsell, and ensure exceptional service in a luxury hotel setting. You will maintain bar cleanliness, stock supplies, and collaborate closely with management and service staff to exceed guest expectations.

The role emphasizes knowledge of spirits and wine, strong communication, and a proactive attitude toward learning and growth within a premium hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• You enjoy spirits, wine, and food.
• You have basic communication skills.
• You are open to learning, developing, and growing yourself, personally, and helping others do the same.
• You are trustworthy and have integrity.
• Prior bartending and Micros or other systems experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interact one on one with guests, take orders, make cocktails, upsell and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Exhibit knowledge and selling techniques for beverages and menu items.
• Maintain the bar’s cleanliness and appearance, stock with products and supplies.
• Work as a team and communicate effectively with management, bartenders, and service staff.
• Deliver WOW moments and anticipate guests’ needs.
• Perform additional duties as needed based on business needs.

Bartender

• Interact one on one with guests, take orders, make cocktails, upsell, ensure guest satisfaction and anticipate guest needs
• Exhibit proper knowledge, selling techniques and service delivery of both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, and any menu items offered
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the bar, stocking with appropriate products and supplies
• Work as a team and effectively communicating with management, bartenders, and service staff
• Deliver on guests' expectations and have the desire to create WOW moments
• Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties based on business needs

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift
• Ability to push and pull food serving equipment and carts weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi - regular basis
