Job summary

Courtyard Brownsville by Marriott is seeking an energetic Bartender to provide customized beverage service in a friendly, timely manner. You will ensure guests have a great time at the bar, communicating effectively and multitasking to support service and kitchen teams.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, maintaining bar setup, stocking supplies, mixing drinks, handling POS transactions, and promoting menu items with knowledge of current offerings.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or service roles preferred.
• Knowledge of drink preparation and customer service.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Friendly Greeting: greet guests and describe food and beverage options.
• Bar Organization: maintain proper setup of the bar area.
• Bar Stocking: stock beverages, garnishes and supplies.
• Mixology: prepare drinks using standard recipes and portion control.
• Attend monthly departmental meetings.
• POS Skills: input orders and process payments.
• Cash Management: handle cash accurately and balance transactions.
• Bar Stock Management: store beverages and secure items at end of shift.
• Bar Hygiene: sanitize and clean bar area.
• Side work: complete daily inventory prep and other tasks.
• Menu Knowledge: know current offerings and promote orders.
• Food Safety: comply with safety and handling policies.
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness and knowledge of hours.
• Teamwork: collaborate with service and kitchen teams.
