Responsibilities

Bartenders provide excellent service to all guests and are responsible for serving each customer efficiently, while also adhering to established procedures for the preparation, service, and close-out of each transaction. They prepare, mix, and pour beverages. Works in an efficient and professional manner and maintains cleanliness of workstations and equipment.

Essential Job Functions

1. Creates an atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Bristol for gaming entertainment; actively builds and retains guest relations and mentors team members to provide superior guest service.
2. Has extensive knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer, as well as all other products offered.
3. Meets marketing requirements set by management, as per the Company's Marketing Requirement Plan.
4. Focuses on upselling to maximize sales.
5. Follows established cash handling procedures for customer checks.
6. Possesses basic computer skills and experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
7. Organized, able to follow directions, and makes quick decisions aligned with company standards.
8. Creates and maintains rapport with guests.
9. Delivers a quality guest experience in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
10. Responds courteously to guest inquiries and requests.
11. Greets and serves guests promptly with an upbeat attitude.
12. Anticipates guest needs and provides information and directions.
13. Adheres to all Standard Operating Procedures and maintains service standards to achieve compliance and audit scores.
14. Provides venue, menu, and pricing information to guests.
15. Recognizes regular guests and uses their names when possible.
16. Circulates through the work area to maintain atmosphere control.
17. Assists team members as needed.
18. Maintains cordial relations with co-workers and guests.
19. Maintains a sense of urgency.
20. Wears uniform for all shifts and promotional activities.
21. Follows all policies, procedures, and guidelines.
22. Complies with all liquor laws.

Qualifications

• At least two (2) years of experience in a high-volume, service-focused restaurant.
• Previous bartending experience.
• Valid alcohol awareness card and health department card.
• Self-motivated, eager to improve skills and knowledge.
• Fluent in English, multilingual skills are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of spirits, wines, champagne, and cocktails.
• Ability to mix well-balanced cocktails and shots.
• Experience with POS systems.
• I.P.S. and Sanitation certifications preferred.
• Basic math skills for job responsibilities.
• Valid Food Handlers Card, Liquor License, and Gaming Badge when working.

Additional Requirements

• Obtain and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications.
• Pass background check and drug screening.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Availability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts.
