Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Bartender to join our on-site team in Las Vegas. You will receive and prepare beverage orders, mix drinks according to recipes, handle transactions, and ensure the bar area remains clean and welcoming for guests.

Ideal candidates have excellent customer service and communication skills, can stand for long periods, and are able to lift up to 25 pounds. Prior bartender experience is preferred and eligibility to obtain required licenses is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Previous experience as a bartender preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
• Able to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses/certifications.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare beverage orders including mixing drinks.
• Complete monetary transactions and maintain an accurate bank.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and equipment.
• Receive orders from customers and cocktail servers.
• Mix beverages according to standard recipes.
• Serve beverages according to service procedures.
• Operate cash register and maintain accurate bank.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar area by clearing glasses and wiping surfaces.
• Greet and communicate with guests in a friendly manner.
• Prepare written requisitions and orders for bar stock.
• Maintain and replenish ice supply.

Job Description

• Receive and prepare beverage orders including mixing alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks according to standard beverage recipes.
• Complete monetary transactions and maintain an accurate bank.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the bar area and equipment.
• Receive and prepare beverage orders from customers and cocktail servers.
• Mix alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to memorized standard beverage recipes.
• Serve beverages, using repetitive motions, in accordance with established service procedures.
• Operate cash register, complete transactions according to procedures, and maintain accurate bank.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar area by removing used glasses, napkins, emptying ashtrays, and wiping bar top.
• Greet and communicate with guests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Prepare written requisitions and orders for bar stock.
• Maintain and replenish ice supply.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
