Job summary

Gold Bison Grill at DoubleTree Rapid City is seeking part-time bartenders to deliver friendly, guest-focused service in a fast-paced lounge environment.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, serving drinks, assisting with room service, handling payments, and maintaining clean, well-stocked bar and dining areas. Training is provided for outstanding candidates; previous bar experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in food and beverage or bar tending is ideal, but training may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and present drink menus and coasters.
• Deliver beverages to lounge tables and assist with room service when needed.
• Assist in serving lounge guests during busy periods and events.
• Answer guest questions and accommodate special requests, including allergies or preferences.
• Set up, reset, and maintain clean tables and service areas during opening/closing duties.
• Track and report tab, ticket, and tip amounts accurately.
• Support inventory and presentation of beverages and bottles.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcoming every guest to the lounge area with offer of beverages and by providing drink menus and coasters
• Bringing orders to lounge tables and occasionally assist bringing Room Service orders to room
• Assisting in serving Lounge guests as business levels require
• Answering guest questions and responding to guest requests
• Communicating specials and other food options to guests, such as for guests with food allergies or other health preferences
• Setup, Cleanup, and Prepare tables and restaurant service area on an ongoing basis and as part of opening and closing duties
• Some light equipment maintenance
• Clearing and cleaning tables
• Carrying dishes to scrape station
• Thanking guests for their visit and encouraging them to return to the hotel
• Serving drinks to multiple tables during events
• Accurately tracking and reporting tab, ticket, and tip amounts
• Resolving occasional guest complaints with appropriate guest recovery actions
• Check I.D. for guests ordering alcohol
• Assisting with inventory and presentation of beverages and bottles
• Other duties as-assigned

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous food & beverage or bar tending experience is ideal. However, thorough training may be provided for outstanding candidates who lack previous professional experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including but not limited to bar tending for on and off-site catering and holiday events
