Job summary

Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano in Omaha, NE is hiring a Bartender for part-time shifts. Responsibilities include preparing beverages, taking orders, and providing excellent customer service. Must have at least 1 year of high-volume bartending experience, a valid alcohol certification, and the ability to communicate in English.

Flexible scheduling and team-oriented environment. The position requires the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs, with a focus on hospitality and guest

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Bartender in a high-volume setting.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Valid alcohol certification.
• Following recipes, including measuring and mixing ingredients.
• Labeling & stocking bar ingredients & garnishes for easy access.
• Operating equipment and bladed tools safely.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
• Knowledge of wine, spirits and beer.
• Experience serving food and recommending menu items.
• Basic bookkeeping knowledge.
• High stamina to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar patrons and guests.
• Interact with customers and take food & drink orders.
• Serve guests with a warm, friendly smile and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bar area.
• Handle cash and card payments accurately.
• Support opening and closing procedures and side work.
• Work collaboratively with staff to ensure smooth service.

Bartender responsibilities

Bartender responsibilities include but are not limited to preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar patrons and restaurant guests, interacting with customers, taking food & drink orders, serving guests with a warm, friendly smile, guest retention, cleaning, sanitizing, side work, teamwork of all varieties, reporting thoroughly to management, being responsible for cash and credit payments, etc.

Bartender Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Bartender in a high-volume setting, preferred.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Valid alcohol certification.
• Following recipes, including measuring and mixing ingredients.
• Preparing ingredients for service, including cutting, peeling, stuffing, etc.
• Labeling & stocking all bar ingredients & garnishes so they are organized & easily accessible.
• Operating equipment and bladed tools following safety standards.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Elevated knowledge of wine, spirits and beer.
• Experience serving food. Ability to describe & make menu recommendations.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills.
• Basic bookkeeping knowledge.
• Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems.
• High level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods.
• Maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.
• Executing opening and closing procedures.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
