Job summary

Wyndemere is a senior living community located just outside of downtown Wheaton, IL. We are seeking a hospitality focused Bartender to join our Independent Living facility on campus. This full-time position offers 40 hours per week with shifts 11am-7:30pm and a competitive hourly wage.

compensation is $21.63 per hour, plus benefits (Medical, Vision, Dental, Employee Assistance Program, 23 days of PTO). You will help with beverage service, food delivery, inventory, and maintaining sanitation

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience bartending in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining experience strongly preferred.
• Must be able to stand and walk up to 90% of the day and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves beverages including cocktails, wine, and beer to residents and guests, adhering to all state and local regulations regarding alcohol service.
• Serves food to residents and guests.
• Maintains weekly inventory of beverages, bar items, and supplies; submits list of needed items to Food and Beverage Director.
• Prepares garnishes for bar use.
• Maintains a neat and orderly appearance of the lounge, wine room, and work station at all times.
• Communicates resident and guest concerns to management.
• Assists in maintaining and achieving departmental sanitation standards and goals.
• Follows all relevant laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to; restocking, organizing bar items, various cleaning duties etc.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Bartender:

• Prepares and serves beverages including cocktails, wine, and beer to residents and guests, adhering to all state and local regulations regarding alcohol service
• Serves food to residents and guests
• Maintains weekly inventory of beverages, bar items, and supplies; submits list of needed items to Food and Beverage Director

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor, and peers
• Experience bartending in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining experience strongly preferred
• Must be able to perform the physical functions of the job; standing and walking up to 90% of the day, may be required to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
