Cinemark USA, Inc. is seeking a friendly Bartender to prepare quality beverages, upsell, and provide an extraordinary guest experience in a fast-paced cinema environment.

You will greet guests, know the menu, suggest items, and handle orders and payments while keeping a clean and safe bar area. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required to support busy cinema showtimes.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Completes basic food handling training and any local/state health permits.
• Safe Alcohol Service training completed.
• Prior high-volume bar experience preferred.
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Demonstrates strong cash handling and math skills.
• Excellent guest service and English communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a timely, professional manner.
• Know bar/menu items and make recommendations.
• Record orders accurately and promptly.
• Verify IDs for all alcohol transactions.
• Maintain clean, safe bar area in a fast-paced environment.
• Deliver accurate orders and process payments.
• Upsell using selling techniques.
• Keep bar stock within appropriate levels.
• Assist with ordering bar supplies as needed.
• Follow safety and sanitation protocols.

Role Summary

Cinemark Bartenders prepare accurate, high quality, and consistent beverages, following recipes in accordance with Cinemark standards. A Bartender does not just take orders – they provide suggestions and use selling techniques to increase the order while enhancing the Guest’s visit. They will maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area in a fast-paced environment, while providing an extraordinarily memorable Guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets Guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
• Possesses full knowledge of bar and menu items and makes recommendations
• Accurately records food and beverage orders from Guests in a timely manner
• Verifies identification to confirm Guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
• Ensures that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
• Consistently uses suggestive selling techniques
• Collaborates with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
• Delivers food and beverage orders within established time frames
• Processes payment for completed guest orders
• Maintains appropriate stock levels for the bar
• Assists the General Manager on duty with placing orders for all liquor and bar related supplies
• Consistently wipes down and sanitizes Employee and Guest high-contact areas
• Properly utilizes Personal Protective Equipment while completing position specific tasks
• Adapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
• Monitors safety and/security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.) and reports issues to management
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bartenders need to be at least 21 years of age
• Completes basic food handling training and obtains any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required
• Team Members who work with alcohol are required to complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program
• Prior experience in a high-volume bar environmentpreferred
• Availability to work flexible hours which include evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Requires regular and consistent attendance
• Has an energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
• Provides excellent Guest service
• Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
• Interpersonal skills include the ability to communicate (verbal and written) with all ages, genders, and personalities
• Must be able to effectively and regularly converse in and comprehend English
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
• Ability to take and follow direction
• Responds with a sense of urgency

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking and reaching around the theater. Noise level may be moderate to high at times. Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
