Job Description

Reports To: Beverage Manager, Food & Beverage Director

General Purpose: The Bartender provides timely, accurate, and friendly service while preparing high-quality beverages for guests.

Responsibilities include:

• Following all steps of service.
• Preparing drinks according to recipe standards.
• Knowing drink names, ingredients, preparation methods, glassware, and garnishes.
• Being familiar with all wines by the glass and at least five wines in each category on the wine list, across various price ranges and styles.
• Knowing specialty beverages, including single malt scotches, cognacs, and beer lists.
• Understanding all menu descriptions for bar and dining room menus.
• Maintaining stock levels and completing daily inventory.
• Verifying guests are at least 21 years old.
• Reporting income accurately during shifts.
• Selling beverages responsibly.
• Ensuring smooth service flow between bar and servers.
• Completing all side work as outlined.
• Arriving on time and prepared for scheduled shifts.
• Maintaining a positive attitude and professional appearance.
• Assisting with tasks assigned by supervisors.
• Following sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications

• Flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Responsible, dependable, punctual.
• Strong communication skills; fluent in English.
• Clean and professional appearance.
