Job summary

Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, NV is seeking a professional Bartender to prepare and serve beverages to guests promptly and with a friendly, polished approach. You will maintain brand knowledge, follow liquor laws, and ensure a clean, well-stocked bar.

Role requires standing for long periods, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and flexibility to work graveyard shifts, weekends, and holidays. A strong focus on guest experience and team collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of beer, wine and liquors offerings.
• Ability to identify cocktail ingredients and garnishes.
• Awareness of signs of intoxication for guest safety.
• Comfort with standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to follow grooming standards and dress codes.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide courteous service.
• Shake, mix and serve beverages as requested.
• Maintain knowledge of beverage brands and proper glassware.
• Ensure compliance with state/local alcohol service laws.
• Circulate to provide prompt service and assist cocktail servers.
• Keep bar area clean and organized throughout shift.

Come join Team Atlantis! The Bartender will be responsible for preparing and servicing beverages to our guests in a quick, efficient, friendly, and professional manner. Ensure that guests are served in accordance to State and local guidelines regarding the service of alcohol, other responsibilities include maintaining a clean bar area, processing payments, and taking inventory of the bar.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Alcohol Awareness Card Required.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Maintain an updated knowledge of the brands of beer, wine and liquors being offered for consumption.
• Know the ingredients to cocktails and specialty drinks, the garnishes they require, the proper glassware for them.
• Continuously watch for signs of intoxication for the protection and enjoyment of all guests.
• Ability to bend, lift or carry goods weighing up to 50lbs on a continuous schedule.
• Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and awkward positions, requiring standing, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and reaching overhead for extended periods of time.
• Manual dexterity of hand in order to use corkscrew, knives, and ice scoop.

Responsibilities

• Greet and communicate with all guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Insure prompt expedient and courteous service to all guests and visitors to the outlet at all times.
• Smile and show genuine interest in the guests’ needs or questions and always attempt to accommodate any reasonable request.
• Receive and understand beverage orders and repeat them back to the guest and/or servers for accuracy.
• Maintain an updated knowledge of the brands of beer, wine and liquors being offered for consumption.
• Know the ingredients to the most commonly asked for cocktails and specialty drinks, the garnishes they require, the proper glassware for them and the current prices.
• Properly mix the drinks, set for presentation and serve the desired alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as requested by the guest and/or the cocktail servers.
• Adhere to, enforce and practice all alcoholic beverage laws, policies, and regulations.
• Circulates through the assigned bar area on a continuous basis to provide superior guest service.
• Contact the Beverage Manager/Supervisor on duty for any guest related issues, if unable to assist in finding an agreeable solution to the defined issue.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, free of dirty glassware, ashtrays, beer bottles, and dispose of other trash.
• Abide by the established standards for health, safety and continual side work duties.
• Ability to and willingness to work as a Team.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk, and hear.
