Job summary

Fogo de Chão is seeking a Bartender to welcome guests, suggest beverages, and prepare drinks per our recipes. You will ensure guest satisfaction through knowledgeable service and accurate order handling.

You will also manage bar inventory, uphold safety standards, and process transactions with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. This role is on-site in Nashville and offers full-time, hourly opportunities with benefits.

Qualifications

• Welcoming guests and determining beverage preferences, making recommendations and taking orders.
• Knowledge of menu items and preparation methods to answer questions and upsell.
• Checking IDs to ensure legal drinking age and serving alcohol responsibly.
• Handling cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently.

Other duties may be assigned.Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking ordersInforming customers about new beverages and specialsBe knowledgeable of all menu items, their contents and preparation methods in order to accurately respond to customer questions, make menu recommendations and upsell where appropriateSelecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customersChecking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcoholProvide responsible service of alcoholic beverages, complying with all local, state, and federal liquor laws and food safety regulationsTaking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stockedPrepare and serve menu items according to Fogo de Chao recipes and guidelines, using proper equipment and ingredientsHandle multiple tables and tasks in an efficient manner, clean and clear tablesHandling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.Educate self and assist co-workers in understanding basic “bar vocabulary”, i.e., wine and liquor varieties, types of mixed drinks, etc.Perform all reasonable tasks assigned by managementPhysical DemandsThe employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and stand for prolong hours. Must have a high level of endurance and mental acuity and toughness to manage conflict and deal successfully with high stress situations.Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance are available for full-time, hourly Team Members on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
