Job summary

Major Food Group is hiring part-time Bartenders to join our team at Sadelle's Coconut Grove in Miami. Prepare beverages, interact with guests, and ensure an exceptional bar experience.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of bartending experience, is available for nights, weekends, and holidays, and can operate POS systems. High-volume service and knowledge of spirits are a plus.

Qualifications

• The position requires at least 3 years of bartending experience.
• Able to stand for 8 hours; lift up to 30 lbs.
• On-site schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Proficient with POS systems and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve drinks.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and present bar menu.
• Check customers' identification and confirm legal drinking age.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Process cash and credit card transactions following procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
• Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Plan and present bar menu
• Check customers' identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• Greet guests in a timely manner and take orders
• Process cash and credit card transactions following appropriate procedures
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and team
• Monthly liquor inventory
• Inventory variance analysis
• Order all liquor product
• Inventory efficiency - ensure all product has application and purpose
• Receive and stock liquor product
• Liquor room - cleanliness and organization

REQUIREMENTS

• The position requires at least 3 years of experience in the desired job
• Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 30 lbs.
• Ability to work on-site for assigned schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to operate point-of-sales system accurately and efficiently
• Deep knowledge of spirits, classic cocktails, wine, beer and proper technique
• Proficient in computer skills including POS systems, Word and Excel.
• Experience in high-volume restaurants is a plus.
