Job summary

Sedgebrook is seeking a part-time Bartender to join our Shoreline Lounge team in Lincolnshire, IL. You will serve beverages, engage with residents and guests, and help create memorable experiences in a premium senior living environment.

We offer a non-tipped hourly role with consistent pay, a stable schedule Monday–Friday 3:30 PM–7:00 PM, and perks including 401(k), daily pay, free meals, and EAP. BASSET certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21
• Able to obtain BASSET certification within 30 days of hire
• Experience in fine dining/bar settings preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Take drink orders and answer questions about beverages
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area
• Assist with inventory and restocking supplies
• Support dining room beverage service during meals
• Assist with special events and catering functions as needed
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and sanitation

What You'll Do

As a Bartender, you'll create a welcoming experience for residents and guests by providing exceptional beverage service and hospitality.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Taking drink orders and answering questions about beverage selections
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area
• Preparing garnishes and snack trays
• Processing resident and guest charges through our point-of-sale system
• Reconciling cash transactions and maintaining accurate records
• Assisting with inventory and restocking supplies
• Supporting dining room beverage service during meal periods
• Assisting with special events and catering functions as needed
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation

What We're Looking For

• Previous bartending experience preferred
• Fine dining, restaurant, hotel, or club experience is a plus
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills
• Friendly, professional, and hospitality-focused attitude
• Ability to work collaboratively with residents, guests, and team members
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to obtain BASSET certification within 30 days of hire
