Job summary

Weekender Hospitality is seeking a Bartender I to provide friendly, efficient service at our Killington, VT location. You will mix cocktails, pour beer and wine, and maintain a clean, stocked bar while ensuring responsible alcohol service.

The role emphasizes guest interactions, accuracy in transactions, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. This position is paid hourly with shifts in a busy hospitality setting.

What you'll be responsible for:

As a Bartender I, you’ll focus on providing consistent, friendly service while mixing and serving standard drinks, maintaining a clean and stocked bar, handling transactions accurately, and ensuring responsible alcohol service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Mix and serve standard cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Greet guests warmly, take drink orders, and provide attentive service.
• Verify guest identification and enforce alcohol service laws.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar area and restock supplies as directed.
• Handle payments and operate POS system accurately.
• Support servers and teammates during busy shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Success Measures

• Drink Accuracy: 90%+ accuracy following standard recipes.
• Service Speed: Drinks delivered within service time standards.
• Guest Satisfaction: Positive guest feedback on friendliness and service.
• Responsible Service: 100% compliance with ID checks.
• Cleanliness & Stocking: Bar stocked and clean at shift end.
• Financial Accuracy: Minimal till discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (verbally interacts with management, servers, team members and guests).
• Understanding of classic and contemporary cocktail recipes, mixing techniques, and garnishes.
• Must visually scan restaurants for cleanliness.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
• Accurate cash handling and ability to calculate tips.
• Working well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, adjusting to fluctuating customer volume.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.

The pay range for this role is:

10.35 - 12 USD per hour (Old Forge, NY)

10.35 - 12 USD per hour (Killington, VT)

10.35 - 12 USD per hour (North Creek, NY)
