Job summary

Main Event Entertainment in Grand Rapids is seeking a Bartender to craft cocktails, pour beer, and warmly serve guests. You know the menu, suggest pairings, and uphold safety standards while delivering timely service.

You will work flexible shifts including days and weekends, engaging guests, and ensuring accuracy in orders with a focus on guest satisfaction. Join a lively team in a venue known for fun and quality experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months bartending experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage guests, acting as an ambassador of FUN.
• Recommend menu items and ensure order accuracy.
• Showcase beer, wine, and cocktail knowledge to guests.
• Deliver food and drinks promptly and anticipate guests' needs.
• Provide memorable service and uphold safety and sanitation standards.
• Adhere to alcohol laws and company procedures.
• Process payments and welcome guests back.
• Maintain a stocked, clean, and safe bar and assist with side duties.

Job Description: At Main Event, our Bartenders craft cocktails, pour beer, and serve up great food, drinks, and FUN for all Guests! As a Bartender, you have a knack for creating a welcoming environment and are relentless in providing our Guests with exceptional and timely service. You know the menu inside and out and can make great food and beverage suggestions. You’re also dedicated to delivering the highest standards in safety and sanitation.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING DAILY?

• Welcome and engage with all guests while being an ambassador of FUN!
• Recommending menu items and ensuring order accuracy
• Showcasing your extensive beer, wine, and cocktail knowledge
• Delivering food and drinks in a timely manner and anticipating Guest’s needs
• Creating memorable experiences by providing exceptional service (You rock at creating a good time!)
• Adhering to local and state alcohol laws, procedures, and policies
• Processing payment transactions and welcoming our Guests back
• Maintaining a stocked, clean, and safe bar; completing side duties
• Upholding our cleanliness and safety standards (We take this seriously!)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Must have 6 months of bartending experience
• Guest-focused mindset (We heart our Guests)
• Teamwork is a must (Teamwork makes the dream work!)
• 21+ years of age; Alcohol Certification, as required
• Can effectively communicate with Management, Team Members, and Guests
• Availability to workdays, nights, and/or weekends
