Job summary

Atrium Hospitality LP at Des Moines Embassy Suites in Des Moines, IA, is seeking a part-time bartender to welcome guests, mix beverages, and provide attentive service in a fast-paced hotel setting.

Responsibilities include serving drinks, ensuring responsible alcohol service, keeping the bar clean and stocked, handling opening/closing duties and cash/tip reporting, and adhering to safety standards. This role offers opportunities for growth and participation in Atrium's benefits programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of bartending experience (hospitality preferred).
• Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness certifications (or willingness to complete within 60 days).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of the shift.

What You Will Do:

• Craft and serve beverages with skill and speed, ensuring guests feel welcome and cared for
• Ensure responsible alcohol service in line with liquor laws and company policies
• Maintain a clean, organized bar area while restocking supplies and prepping garnishes
• Complete daily opening/closing duties and accurately handle cash and tip reporting
• Keep workspaces sanitized and follow all food safety standards

What We Are Looking For:

• At least 6 months of bartending experience (hospitality background preferred)
• Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness certifications (or willingness to complete within 60 days)
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of your shift
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
