Job summary

Windrose on Hudson, a Riverside Conference Experience, is seeking a motivated bartender to deliver memorable hospitality at our bar. You will greet guests, craft drinks, and provide engaging service while maintaining bar setup and stock levels.

Strong English communication and prior bartending experience are essential for this role. This on-site position requires weekend and holiday availability and offers opportunities to grow within a world-class property in the Croton Bay area near New York

Qualifications

  • Previous bartending experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests as they arrive and provide engaging service.
  • Maintain bar setup and ensure stock and cleanliness.
  • Suggest drinks and guide guests through the menu.
  • Take accurate orders and process payments at POS.
  • Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Handle closing duties and secure cash drops.
  • Be available to work weekends and holidays.
  • Ensure safety and prevent waste through portion control.

What you will have an opportunity to do:

  • We are looking for a highly motivated, customer focused Bartender to join our team! The Bartender is responsible for delivering memorable hospitality to our guests with genuine and personable connections and engaging service from the initial greeting to their departure. As a Bartender, it is your responsibility to seek to understand the guest's needs while preparing perfect beverages in a timely manner. This individual will need to be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude.

  • Greet guests as they arrive or move about the bar area
  • Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily
  • Guide guests on their beverage journey through descriptive selling of the menu
  • Be accurate in your order taking, confirming all special requests
  • Be the master of the bar, understanding the details to enhance the conversation
  • Work collaboratively with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
  • Assist guests who have concerns to guide them to a resolution that leaves them happy
  • Finalize the experience through timely and accurate bill presentation
  • Requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits
  • Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
  • Mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks following standard ingredient recipes and practicing portion control.
  • Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest
  • Locks up and stores all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Must be available to work weekend and holidays as needed.
What are we looking for?
  • Prior bartending experience required.
  • Ability to understand verbal English to comprehend basic guest requests.
  • Ability to understand written English to read any caution or safety notices.
  • Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, transport up to 75 lbs. through a crowded room.
  • Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 200 lbs.
  • Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. High School G
