PJ Whelihan's Restaurant + Pub in Conshohocken, PA is hiring dedicated bartenders to create an outstanding guest experience. You will craft cocktails and serve beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks to a high-volume crowd.

Qualifications

• TIPS certification required before first non-training shift.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Knowledge of beer, wine and cocktails preferred.
• Basic math, cash handling and POS experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests.
• Take beverage orders from guests and servers.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Must properly ID all patrons 35 & younger.
• Learn the names and recognize regulars.
• Record drink orders accurately and promptly.
• Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change.
• Wash and sterilize glassware.
• Prepare garnishes and replenish snacks.
• Maintain bottles and glasses neatly for efficient service.
• Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer beverage questions.
• Maintain bar cleanliness and organization across all areas.
• Receive and serve food orders to bar patrons.
• Report equipment problems to the manager.
• Assist with restocking bar inventory and supplies.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and great guests.
• Take beverage orders from guests and servers.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant’s standard drink recipes.
• Must properly ID all patrons 35 & younger
• Learns the names and personally recognize our regulars.
• Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system.
• Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable).
• Wash and sterilize glassware.
• Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks, appetizers for bar patrons.
• Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.
• Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas. Chair alignment.
• Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
• Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to restaurant manager.
• Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Must be TIPS certified before first non-training shift.
• Be 21 years of age.
• Have working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes.
• Possess basic math skills, handle money, and operate a cash register.
• Work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
• Reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
