Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking a Bartender to provide friendly, timely beverage and food service and to help maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.

You will follow safety procedures, verify guest IDs, manage beverage inventory, and support sustainability practices under the EarthView program. Previous bartending experience or formal training is required, with a Food Sanitation certificate preferred within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum of bartending/mixologist experience or equivalent training.
• High school diploma preferred; Food Sanitation certificate a plus, must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• TIPS certification a plus; prior knowledge of beverage preparation and service is expected.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and organized bar areas.
• Prepare and serve drinks and food orders.
• Check IDs to verify age requirements for alcohol.
• Operate cash handling and guest checks.
• Follow safety standards and EarthView sustainability guidelines.
• Assist with beverage inventory and par levels.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Your Growth Path

Beverage Manager/Restaurant Supervisor – Restaurant Manager – Food & Beverage Manager

Your Focus

• Maintain clean and organize bar areas.
• Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
• Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
• Prepare and serve drink and/or food orders.
• If applicable, take orders, and serve and clear food and beverage to guests seated at tables in bar and lounge areas.
• Issue guest check and complete payment process.
• Follow standards for identifying and managing intoxicated guests.
• Complete beverage requisitions to maintain par levels as needed.
• Complete required side work prior to shift end.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Assist with taking beverage inventory.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Your Background and Skills

• High school diploma preferred.
• TIPS certified a plus.
• Previous bartending/mixologist experience required or equivalent training.
