Job summary

YMCA of the North Shore in Gloucester, MA is seeking a part-time Barre Instructor to lead engaging Barre classes, demonstrate proper form, and tailor modifications for all fitness levels. The role offers a varied schedule with Wednesday mornings and Thursday evenings, and the chance to motivate members in a welcoming, community-focused setting.

You will guide sessions that build strength, flexibility, and confidence, while upholding safety and inclusivity.

Qualifications

• Current Barre certification or relevant group exercise certification (required).
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).
• Experience teaching Barre or similar formats preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead dynamic and engaging Barre classes.
• Demonstrate proper form, alignment, and technique.
• Offer modifications to support all fitness levels.
• Create a positive, inclusive class environment.
• Motivate and inspire members to stay consistent and reach their goals.
