Job summary

Old South Carriage Company in Charleston is seeking a Barn Crew Team member to help manage our two barns and herd of over 40 draft horses, delivering high standards of care and guest-focused service.

You will work seven days a week on AM and PM shifts, with starting pay at $18 per hour, and opportunities for professional growth and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Experience with horses and a strong comfort level around them is essential.
• Team-oriented mindset with initiative.
• Professional demeanor and southern hospitality in all interactions.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Open availability for weekends and both AM/PM shifts.
• We operate 7 days a week; AM start as early as 6am; PM until 11pm.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in both barns for horses and customers.
• Feed, water, and stall maintenance daily; monitor horse health.
• Groom and bathe horses for tours or farm prep.
• Harness and hitch horses to carriages, ensuring safety.
• Assist with routine barn maintenance and minor repairs.
• Collaborate with team to uphold animal care and guest service.

• Work collaboratively with the entire team to uphold a high standard of animal care and customer service.
