Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a friendly barista to deliver outstanding customer service while preparing beverages and foods to our recipe standards.

You will learn about coffee and tea, assist with setup and cleanup, handle stock and food items, and communicate clearly with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule. 1+ year in food service/hospitality is preferred and a food handler’s card may be required by local rules.

Qualifications

• Customer service-focused barista role requiring excellent interaction with customers.
• Clear and professional communication with customers and coworkers.
• Knowledge of food safety practices as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages and food items consistently by adhering to all recipe standards, while also delivering exceptional customer service
• Be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, tea and drink preparation and products
• Assist with setup, cleanup, stock work and handling of food items
• The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers
• Thrived in a fast-paced environment and embraced working a flexible schedule
• A food handler’s card where required by local and state regulations
• 1+ year experience in food service/hospitality is preferred
