Job summary

Compass Group USA at Genentech in South San Francisco is seeking a full-time Barista Shift Supervisor to lead the cafe team, ensure quality espresso, and deliver exceptional service during morning shifts.

The supervisor will direct shift activities, schedule training, and uphold standards of quality, safety, and productivity while providing mentorship and support for staff development. Competitive hourly pay and benefits accompany the role.

• We are hiring immediately for a full time BARISTA SHIFT SUPERVISORposition.
• Location: Genentech - 350 DNA Way, South San Francisco, CA 94080. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time; Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. More details upon interview.

Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing training and creating work schedules.
• Evaluating the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
• Acts as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
