PJ's Coffee seeks a barista to master the craft of beverages and food items, delivering fast, friendly service while upholding PJ's brand integrity. The role emphasizes customer care, product knowledge, and growth within the company, with training opportunities and a focus on team collaboration.

The barista will develop expertise in beverages, pastries, and store operations, contributing to a positive work environment and consistent brand standards across locations.

Qualifications

• Barista experience is ok, but not required; you will be trained in PJ's methods.
• Outgoing and engaging personality
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team environment
• Ability to communicate through different channels (email, phone, PM software, conference calls) if necessary

Responsibilities

• Present a positive image of PJ's customers and coworkers
• Proactively suggest new beverages, snacks, and pastries to improve the customer experience
• Prepare all beverages and food to PJ's Coffee specifications and customer satisfaction
• Ensure the store offers excellent customer service and upkeep
• Follow cash handling procedures accurately
• Maintain sanitary, safety, and aesthetic store standards
• Alert management to operational needs and improvements
• Enforce company policies and safety rules
• Attend training sessions to increase coffee knowledge and skills
