Job summary

Green Sage Café in Asheville, NC is seeking a hardworking Barista/Server who is excited to grow with us—across the café, front and back of house. You will take orders, prepare beverages, and support kitchen prep, gaining a well-rounded understanding of how the café runs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Flexible schedule with weekend availability.
• High level of professionalism.
• Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to stand for six hours or more.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with fast, friendly, personalized service.
• Take orders quickly and accurately, including proper payment handling.
• Prepare hot and cold beverages according to house recipes.
• Support kitchen with food prep and basic line cook tasks.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and allergens.
• Keep dining areas clean and welcoming through bussing and upkeep.
• Follow food safety and sanitation practices in all prep work.
• Complete prep, restocking, cleaning, and opening/closing duties per checklists.
