Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring for full-time and part-time barista positions at 700 Prospect Street, New Haven, CT 06511. We make and serve coffee, espresso drinks and related food items following HACCP guidelines, and we strive to provide friendly, efficient service to every customer.

The schedule is Monday through Friday with hours that may vary; prior cash register and customer service experience is required. Willing to train for the role as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior cash register and customer service experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
• Enters orders into POS and handles cash/credit payments.
• Replenishes condiments, beverages and supplies while keeping the service area clean.
• Maintains proper serving temperatures and HACCP standards.
• Greets customers and assists in buying decisions.
• Ensures merchandise of display foods is attractive.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
