Job summary

Uncle Gs Management Corp. in Ramsey, NJ is hiring a Barista to join our Espresso Bar team. If you love coffee and delivering great service, this is the role for you.

You’ll greet customers, pull shots, steam milk, and craft beverages in a fast-paced environment while keeping workspaces clean and safe. Weekend and holiday availability is required; 18+.

We provide on-the-job training, a friendly team, and room to grow as you develop your barista skills.

Requirements

1. Must be at least 18 years of age
2. Requires a minimum of 1 year of experience working as a server or barista
3. Excellent listening and communication skills
4. A strong focus on customer satisfaction is required for this position
5. Practice basic safety procedures with respect to equipment and handling hot beverages
6. Must be efficient and organized
7. Must be able to speak, read and understand the English language
8. Maintain a clean work environment
9. Keep supplies replenished to minimize downtime

Working Conditions

1. Most of the time is spent moving about continuously on hard surfaces. There may be a need to frequently position oneself to examine and/or scan merchandise, including bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping.
2. May require lifting objects up to 30 pounds. May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance.
3. Usually in a comfortable indoor environment surrounded by moving machinery and/or loud equipment that may require shouting in order to be heard. There could be exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and/or coolers.
