plur coffee is hiring a Barista at our San Mateo location. You will craft beverages, assist guests, and maintain a welcoming cafe atmosphere while delivering excellent service. Training will be provided, and you will play a key role in day-to-day operations.

You should have passion for coffee, experience in food service or retail, and comfort with POS systems. This in-person role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to grow within a vibrant team focused on excellence.

Qualifications

• Previous barista or food service experience preferred.
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform cleaning duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair.
• Handle retail transactions and cash using Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the cafe.
• Assist customers with menu selections and answer questions about ingredients.
• Prepare light food items in line with food safety guidelines.
• Support daily cafe operations during busy periods for prompt service.
• Follow beverage preparation techniques and health regulations.
