Job summary

Mercy Medical Center is seeking a part-time café associate to manage daily operations and keep the coffee bar area clean and organized. You will follow food codes and safety standards while providing professional customer service.

You will perform opening/closing duties, handle cash, prepare drinks and light meals, monitor temperatures, and ensure shelves and equipment are well stocked and sanitized.

Qualifications

• Must pass barista training within 2 months of hire.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to read/write.
• Restaurant or food service experience preferred.
• Proof of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Open and close duties for the café.
• Operate cash register and handle money accurately.
• Prepare hot and cold foods and beverages for retail sales.
• Stock and replenish food and paper supplies.
• Maintain food safety and monitor temperatures per codes.
• Keep café and seating areas clean and sanitary.
