Job description

The Counter Attendant is responsible for crafting beverages, providing excellent Guest service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. They prepare drinks according to North Fork Mono Casino standards, handle transactions, and ensure a positive Guest experience. The Counter Attendant also contributes to a welcoming and efficient store environment. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. This position will report directly to the Kopiah Supervisor.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
• Craft a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, teas, and refreshers, adhering to recipes and standards.
• Follow recipes precisely and maintain quality standards in beverage preparation.
• Prepare (if applicable) and package \"grab-n-go\" food items.
• Greet Guests, take orders, and provide friendly and efficient service aiming to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
• Handle POS (point of sale) operations, process transactions accurately, and manage payments.
• Work collaboratively with other Team Members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
• Maintain knowledge of all products and recipes and provide information to our Guest about beverages and food items.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for interacting with Guests and creating a positive experience.
• Ability to work under pressure and to remain calm and efficient during busy periods of operations.
• Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with others.
• Ability to handle cash transactions and possess basic math skills.
• Ability to adhere to all company and department policies and procedures and Guest Service standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience in food and beverage within a hospitality environment -- i.e. restaurant, bar, hotel or casino in a Guest facing role required.
• Current Food Handler certification required or ability to acquire one (employer will provide upon hire).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission , which includes passing a background investigation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

• All work is performed on site in Madera, CA.
• Requires manual dexterity to perform job related functions.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time or the duration of their shift.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. with or without assistance.
• Ability to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends and graveyard and holidays.

Work Conditions:

Team Members will be in constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests. Work includes the maintenance and care of the assigned work area. Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in a confined area. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. Work may be scheduled at various hours, including working overtime, and during evening, weekends, and holidays. Work may entail trained chemical usage.
