Job summary

Blank Street, Inc. is seeking friendly baristas to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced cafe environment in New York, NY.

You will craft quality beverages, work with a top-tier coffee program, and participate in training to ensure freshness and safe handling of food and drinks. Ideal candidates have 1+ year in customer service, ability to lift 25+ lbs, and flexibility for Part Time (15-25 hrs/week, 3 days) or Full Time (30-40 hrs/week, 4-5 days), including peak days.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a customer service role, preferably hospitality or cafe.
• 18+ years of age.
• Ability to lift 25+ lbs and stand long periods.
• Availability to meet cafe needs (Part Time or Full Time).
• Part Time: 15-25 hours/week, 3 days; Full Time: 30-40 hours/week, 4-5 days.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (I-9 compliant).
• Comprehensive Barista accreditation and training program.

Responsibilities

• Delight customers with welcoming, engaging service to turn every guest into a regular.
• Work within a world-class coffee program to prepare drinks.
• Complete training to ensure proper food and beverage handling.
• Minimize wastage by managing par levels during peaks and valleys.
• Maintain health standards at all times.
• Adhere to product, service and brand training playbooks.
• Collaborate with Operations and Marketing teams to increase foot traffic and sales.
