Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Barista for our Java Manjaro Coffee Shop to deliver excellent guest service and quality beverages. You will be responsible for taking orders, maintaining a clean, organized workspace, and ensuring a positive guest experience in a fast-paced resort environment.

Starting rate is $13.00 per hour plus tips. Experience in a coffee shop, restaurant, or resort setting is helpful, with potential certification requirements for alcohol awareness and food

Qualifications

• Experience in coffee shop or restaurant preferred.
• Knowledge of menu, items, and pricing for effective upselling.
• Food safety and alcohol awareness certifications may apply where required by law.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with energy and a welcoming attitude.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu and daily specials.
• Take orders accurately and enter them into the Micros terminal.
• Coordinate with fellow team members to ensure smooth order flow.
• Perform side work at shift start and end as assigned.

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking aBaristafor ourJava Manjaro Coffee Shop. In this role, you willprovide beyond expectations customer service to all customers by providing them with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable work environment.

As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise toLead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll craft quality beverages with care and deliver friendly, personalized service that makes guests feel welcome while working collaboratively with the team to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.

Starting Rate: $13.00 an hour, plus tips!

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests with energy, a genuine smile, positive body language, focused eye contact, and in a timely fashion.
• You must have full knowledge of the menu, food items, specials of the day, coffee drinks, bakery case items, appropriate prices, layout of the Resort and its storage closets.
• Take orders properly as well as enter them into Micros terminal accurately.
• Maintain constant communication between other cashiers and baristas on orders.
• Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.

What We’re Looking For

• Coffee Shop, restaurant, fast-food venue, and/or hotel and resort experience is helpful.
• State or Local Law may require a certificate upon completion of an alcohol awareness/safety class as well as state-certified proper food handling certification may apply.
• Prior restaurant experience in a full-service restaurant or fast-food venue or as a cashier is helpful.
