Job summary

Sodexo at COLORADO SCHOOL OF MINES is seeking a Barista II to craft beverages and deliver friendly service in a campus cafe. You will greet customers, take orders, and support daily operations while keeping the space clean and inviting.

This full-time role offers varying shifts and a pay range of $22.50–$24.50 per hour. Prior customer service or food-prep experience is preferred, and some locations may require Starbucks certification. Interview details will be provided during the process.

• Previous related experience in customer service, food preparation, sanitation and inventory control is preferred.
• Starbucks Barista certification may be required at some locations.
• Able to work varying shifts with open availability.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, take orders, and prepare beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, tea, and other drinks.
• Record sales, collect payments, and operate a cash register.
• Clean coffee machines and all dining areas.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Perform other duties as needed based on client requirements.

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $22.50 - $24.50

What You’ll Do:

As a Barista II at Sodexo, you are an artist and fair-trade champion. You will create hand-crafted, quality beverages and food. Most importantly, you help people smile and make an impact with your everyday actions.You also will operate cash registers andensure all work areas are kept clean and glistening.

Responsibilities include:

• Greet customers, take orders, mix and serve hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, fruit blend drinks, etc.
• Record all sales, collect cash/credit card/electronic payments and operate a cash register
• Clean coffee machines, restaurant areas, restrooms and preparation areas
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

What You Bring:

• Successful candidates will be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and nurturers of a healthy/safe working environment for all.
• Previous related experience in customer service, food preparation, sanitation and inventory control is preferred.
• Starbucks Barista certification my be required at some locations.
