Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Barista II at the University of Texas at Austin. You will craft hand-made beverages and foods while delivering friendly service in a fast-paced campus environment.

In this role you will operate cash registers, keep all areas clean, and assist customers during morning shifts. The position is part-time with rotating days, to be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications

• Previous related experience in customer service, food preparation, sanitation and inventory control is preferred.

Location: UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN - 84726002

Workdays/shifts: Mornings - varying days. More details will be provided during the interview process.

What You’ll Do:

As a Barista II at Sodexo, you are an artist and fair-trade champion. You will create hand-crafted, quality beverages and food. Most importantly, you help people smile and make an impact with your everyday actions.You also will operate cash registers andensure all work areas are kept clean and glistening.

Responsibilities include:

• Greet customers, take orders, mix and serve hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, fruit blend drinks, etc.
• Record all sales, collect cash/credit card/electronic payments and operate a cash register
• Clean coffee machines, restaurant areas, restrooms and preparation areas
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

What You Bring:

• Successful candidates will be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and nurturers of a healthy/safe working environment for all.
• Previous related experience in customer service, food preparation, sanitation and inventory control is preferred.
• Starbucks Barista certification my be required at some locations.
