Sodexo is hiring a Barista I in New York to provide exceptional customer service while crafting hand-made beverages. You will greet guests, prepare drinks, manage the cash register, and maintain a clean, welcoming coffee station in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and offers both full-time and part-time schedules with mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays as needed. Benefits and training are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Customer Service related work experience.
• Must have knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, standards, and inventory control systems.
• Starbucks Baristas may be required to be certified.

Responsibilities

• Greets all guests and provides quick, friendly, and personalized service.
• Mixes and serves hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte, tea, chai, and fruit drinks.
• Maintains good customer relations and speedy delivery of beverages and food items.
• Educates guests regarding menu offerings and initiates suggestive selling.
• Arranges coffee bar supplies and displays; keeps areas clean and organized.
• Records sales, handles cash, and follows cash-handling procedures.
