Job summary

The Harrison Group is seeking full-time, year-round team members for beverage service in Ocean City, MD. You will prepare hot and cold beverages, describe products, process payments, and stock and clean service areas.

Training in food preparation and customer service is required, with at least one year of related experience preferred. Availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is needed. Equal opportunity employer.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
• Ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously and recall frequent patrons' faces, names, and preferences.
• Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently, and kindly.
• Must successfully complete training in food preparation, food service skills, and customer service procedures.
• At least one year of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages to patrons, such as coffee, blended coffee, and tea; correctly customizes orders as requested.
• Describes product details to customers.
• Receives and processes customer payments.
• Serves prepared foods and baked goods, including sandwiches.
• Ensures customer service stations are properly stocked with paper products or beverage preparation items.
• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas.
• Cleans and sanitizes service and seating areas.
• Ensures proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and heating by routinely checking temperatures in that equipment.
• Stock supplies or retail products; may inventory, order, or receive products as directed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
