Job summary

Sun Communities & Sun Outdoors in Metro Detroit, MI, is seeking a friendly Barista to serve Starbucks beverages to Sun team members at its cafe. You will ensure a clean, well-stocked beverage area and deliver prompt, quality service.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months of barista experience (Starbucks preferred) and strong communication skills. On-site position with benefits including medical and 401(k).

Qualifications

• 6 months in Barista role; Starbucks experience strongly preferred (Required)
• 1 year in a customer-facing role (Required)
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Basic computer proficiency, including email and internet

Responsibilities

• Greets team members and takes orders; prepares and serves Starbucks beverages and food items
• Cleans, sanitizes and maintains beverage bar area and equipment
• Follows proper food handling procedures and monitors expiration dates
• Maintains inventory and communicates shortages
• Stocks and replenishes food, beverages, and paper products
• Assists with administrative duties such as ordering products and coordinating vendors
• Performs shift opening and closing duties as assigned
• Resolves quality and service issues and escalates when needed
