Job summary

Fremont Economic Development Corp. in Buena Vista, CO is seeking a friendly Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, educate customers on the drinks menu, and assist with gift store purchases.

You will help customers with recommendations and ensure an excellent guest experience in a retail setting. The role requires a willingness to train, the ability to work 24–32 hours per week on varied shifts, basic math, and a positive team attitude; prior barista or retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience as a Barista or Waiter/Waitress.
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.
• Basic math skills.
• Retail experience is a plus.
• Ability to gauge customers’ preferences.
• High school diploma; relevant training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter.
• Give customers drink menus and answer questions regarding ingredients.
• Take orders while noting details like coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios.
• Prepare beverages following recipes.
• Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards).
• Keep the bar area and gift store clean and stocked.
• Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates.
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report maintenance needs.
• Comply with health and safety regulations.
• Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items.
• Assist customers with gift store purchases.
