Job Summary

This is a Barista position at RTX – 50 Apple Hill Drive, Tewksbury, MA. The role involves preparing espresso orders, entering orders into the POS, maintaining cleanliness, serving customers, and ensuring food safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
• Enter orders accurately into the POS device and accept cash and charge payments.
• Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while keeping the service area clean.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures following HACCP standards.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.
• Prepare food using approved recipes and production standards.
• Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
• Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area.
• Greet customers courteously, interact to ensure satisfaction, and relay concerns to supervisors.
• Serve customers quickly and efficiently and prevent delays in serving lines.
• Explain daily menu items accurately to customers.
• Advocate selling techniques, establish good communication, and assist in buying decisions.
• Ensure display foods are merchandised attractively and served neatly per standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Barista experience preferred; willingness to train if necessary.
• Full or part‑time availability; schedule Monday‑Friday with variable hours.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adhere to food service safety standards.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Pay range $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
