Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a guest-focused Barista to join our team. You’ll craft hot and cold beverages, take orders, and deliver friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced cafe setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School education (preferred).
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal communication with guests and colleagues.
• Ability to operate basic point-of-sale equipment and handle cash.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages (coffee, tea, etc.) and customizes orders.
• Describes product details to customers.
• Receives and processes customer payments.
• Serves prepared foods and baked goods such as sandwiches and pastries.
• Stocks service areas with paper products and beverage preparation items.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Maintains clean service and seating areas.
• Checks temperature of freezers and refrigerators regularly.
• Stocks supplies; may order or receive products as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, blended coffee, and tea, to patrons; correctly customizes orders as requested.

Describes product details to customers.

Receives and processes customer payments.

Serves prepared foods and baked goods including sandwiches, biscotti, muffins, or bagels.

Ensures customer service stations are properly stocked with paper products or beverage preparation items.

Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas.

Cleans and sanitizes service and seating areas.

Ensures proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and heating by routinely checking temperatures in that equipment.

Stocks supplies or retail products; may inventory, order, or receive products as directed.

Perform various other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of High School educationpreferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
