Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a Barista to join our university dining team in Sugar Land, TX. Open full-time and part-time schedules with a pay range of $13.00–$14.00 per hour. Prior barista experience is required.

Duties include making coffee/espresso drinks, handling POS transactions, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring HACCP compliance. Training and development opportunities are available. Applicants should be available for varying shifts; online applications are accepted.

Responsibilities

• Makes and serves coffee/espresso drinks and related food and beverage items.
• Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
• Enters orders accurately into POS device; accepts cash and charge payments.
• Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
