Job summary

Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown is seeking an enthusiastic Barista to prepare quality beverages and provide friendly, attentive service to guests. The role involves greeting guests, taking orders, handling payments, and maintaining clean, stocked work areas on a busy hotel floor.

You will work with a team to ensure smooth service during peak hours, follow safety procedures, and support guest experiences from start to finish. Prior barista or food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous barista, café, food service, or customer service experience preferred.
• Friendly attitude and commitment to attentive guest service.
• Attention to detail when preparing beverages and handling payments.
• Ability to manage multiple orders and stay organized in a busy environment.
• Dependability, teamwork, and clear communication.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to perform essential duties, including prolonged standing, reaching, and moving supplies, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Greet guests warmly, answer menu questions, and take orders accurately.
• Serve pastries, snacks, and other available food items.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process cash, credit card, and other payments.
• Keep counters, equipment, displays, and guest areas clean, organized, and stocked.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and safe equipment-handling procedures.
• Monitor product freshness, rotate inventory, and communicate supply needs.
• Respond professionally to guest requests and bring concerns to a supervisor when needed.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment and reconciling transactions as assigned.
• Work with fellow team members to keep service moving smoothly during busy periods.
