Job summary

Wellington Regional Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a per diem Barista to join the Food and Nutrition team. You will greet visitors, take orders, prepare coffee and beverages to spec, operate the register, and maintain clean, stocked work areas in a hospital setting.

This role emphasizes exceptional patient and visitor service, adherence to safety standards, and potential cross-training within the department.

Qualifications

• 1 Year Hospital food service experience preferred.
• Servsafe certified a plus.

Job Requirements:

Provides exceptional customer service while making hand-crafted, quality beverages. Take orders and make coffee, tea and other drinks to customer specifications. Operate cash register and credit card machines. Fields customer concerns or questions while working to maintain good customer relations and speedy delivery of beverages.

Barista's work various Barista positions under the supervisor of the Food and Nutrition Management team.

Assigned to greet visitors & guests and prepare their coffee or food menu selections. Responsible for order accuracy, customer service, and timeliness of service. Cleans all assigned work areas, including sweeping and mopping of floors and refrigerators. Re-stocks food and non-food supplies in work areas. Removes garbage and boxes from department per policy and procedure.

Records temperatures of the food, freezers and refrigerators daily. Works in dish room, and cleans all necessary items daily. Sweeps and mops floors in the serving and dining areas. May be cross-trained for other positions within the department. Exhibits excellent customer service skills in all interactions with patients, visitors, Physicians, co-workers, hospital and supervisory staff. Recognizes the signs and symptoms of stroke and calling a stroke alert overhead. Verbalizes stroke alert process. Maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing the annual 1 hour online training.
