Job summary

Renaissance Patisserie in Charlotte, NC is seeking a friendly barista to warmly welcome customers, determine their beverage and pastry interests, and educate them on the menu. You will prepare espresso-based drinks following standard recipes and ensure fast, quality service.

You will also maintain a clean, inviting storefront, manage pastry and coffee bar inventories, and uphold sanitation and safety standards while delivering consistent, high-quality experiences.

Qualifications

• Genuinely positive attitude, pleasant demeanor, and strong work ethic.
• High energy with ability to adapt to increased sales while maintaining quality.
• Effective communication with customers and co-workers.
• Bakery sales or barista experience (1–2 years) required.
• Flexible shifts including mornings, evenings until 8 pm, and weekends.
• Adherence to safety and sanitation standards and good organization.
• Adheres to dress code and brand guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to determine their food and beverage interests and needs.
• Educate customers by presenting and explaining the menu and answering questions.
• Prepare and sell coffee drinks per prescribed recipes (espresso, cafe latte, cappuccino).
• Maintain inventories by replenishing pastries, coffee and supplies for coffee bar.
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
• Improve quality by merchandising and store appearance.
