Responsibilities

• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products in the department and store.
• Gain knowledge of department products and respond to questions with helpful suggestions.
• Collaborate with associates to promote teamwork and achieve store goals.
• Prepare beverage selections to recipes and standards; handle transactions per company guidelines.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items; inform about coffee shop specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to ensure customer needs are met.
• Use all coffee shop equipment and inventory, label and stock department merchandise.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates; take appropriate action.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with ads; adhere to safety procedures and food safety regulations.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of maintenance needs.
• Report accidents and safety risks to store management; follow theft or fraud reporting procedures.
