Job summary

HMSHost, in partnership with Starbucks, is seeking a Barista to fulfill orders and complete sales transactions in a Starbucks establishment. You will support cleaning and stocking areas, maintain inventory, and follow standard procedures to ensure excellent customer service.

The role is non-exempt and reports to the Store Manager, requiring friendly, attentive, and efficient service during high-volume periods.

Qualifications

• Greet customers, take orders, and upsell products to boost sales.
• Stand, walk, and operate at a fast pace during shifts.
• Learn and maintain knowledge of Starbucks products and HMSHost policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and take food orders; upsell products where possible.
• Prepare all drinks to Starbucks and HMSHost standards.
• Operate cash register and handle payments accurately.
• Educate customers about coffee beans, preparation, and home brewing methods.
• Clean and stock customer area and maintain safe, orderly work environment.
• Follow safety and security policies during each shift.
