Job summary

Pura Vida Miami is hiring a friendly barista to join our fast-paced coffee-forward team in Washington, DC. You will welcome guests, take orders, craft hot and cold beverages, and ensure a clean, inviting service area throughout shifts.

We value latte art, hospitality, and a positive attitude. Previous cafe experience and the ability to multitask in a busy environment are essential; lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the hospitality and/or food service industry is preferred.
• Barista experience and latte art are required.
• Strong customer service mindset and positive attitude are essential.
• Ability to work quickly and multitask in a fast-paced cafe environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome all guests into our stores with a friendly and positive attitude.
• Provide our guests with the highest level of customer service, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience.
• Take orders from guests and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
• Answering guests' questions regarding our menu and services.
• Craft a variety of hot and cold coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, matcha lattes, and cold brews.
• Restock stations regularly to ensure they are clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
• Follow all policies and procedures for health and food safety, ensuring an inviting environment for both guests and team members.
• Collaborate with your manager and team members to maintain smooth operations and a positive work atmosphere.
• Support with any additional duties assigned.

• Restock stations and keep them clean and organized.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• May stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
